July 4th Nail Nirvana

Though nail decals of any kind once conjured images of strippers and Areopostale-sporting tweens, I’ve recently developed a taste for slightly more daring digits.  When seasonally appropriate and paired with a more subdued ensemble, I think they’re actually quite fun and irreverent.
Disclaimer aside, if you’re craving some manicure marvelousness this Independence Day, I invite you to peruse my patriotic polish picks below.  And if you think I  *nailed* it (pun!), let me know in the comments!

The world is in desperate need of irresistible women

“The world is in desperate need of irresistible women. Women who are willing to be enthusiastic, alive, and expressive-regardless of the circumstance; Women who are not afraid to tell their truth of speak up for what they believe in; Women who feel at ease being intelligent, sensual, and compassionate all at once. Women who do not compete with, demean, or do battle with men (or other women) but see everyone for who they really are – fellow human beings also in search of a great life, in search of love.” –Marie Forleo

And I think it’s fly when girls stop by for the summer, for the summer

“Hip Hop Marmalade spic and span,
Met you one summer and it all began
You’re the best girl that I ever did see,
The great Larry Bird Jersey 33
When you take a sip you buzz like a hornet
Billy Shakespeare wrote a whole bunch of sonnets
Call me Willy Whistle cause I can’t speak baby
Something in your eyes went and drove me crazy…
Bugaloo shrimp and pogo sticks
My mind takes me back there oh so quick
Let you off the hook like my man Mr. Limpet
Think about that summer and I bug, cause I miss it
Like the color purple, macaroni and cheese,
Ruby red slippers and a bunch of trees
Call you up but what’s the use
I like Kevin Bacon, but I hate Footloose
Came in the door I said it before, I think I’m over you
but I’m really not sure
When I met you I said my name was Rich
You look like a girl from Abercrombie and Fitch”
